AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION BLS
AND HEARTSAVER INSTRUCTOR COURSE INFORMATION:
The American Heart Association BLS and Heartsaver Instructor Courses are prestigious programs for Instructors who wish to make a difference by helping to strengthen the chain of survival in the community. If you have a good knowledge of basic life support and are eager to teach CPR skills, then the renowned AHA Instructor training program is for you.
A valid AHA BLS FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER CERTIFICATE is a MANDATORY requirement for this Instructor program.
Instructor candidates are expected to obtain the relevant study material early to allow enough time to be thoroughly familiar with the Instructor manuals before the course.
Instructors must be linked to a Basic Life Support Training Centre.
All Instructors must be prepared to attend a formal Update, or be re-monitored, (whichever is applicable) every two years.
The course includes:
1-day Classroom Core Instructor Course
1-day Discipline Specific Modules Course
1-day Heartsaver First Aid Course (optional)
New Instructor to be monitored within 3 months from date of DSM
